a taste of spring

So, here in Stillwater the trees are beginning to bloom, and the grass is beginning  to turn green.  This is especially exciting for me and my camera, because it means that I can actually begin taking nature pictures again!  Here are some of my favorites from my mini nature shoot on Tuesday.  I hope this gets you excited for spring!

Phamily

In case you haven't noticed, I have beautiful friends!  These lovely ladies are all in the same "phamily," which is a word for your family within Phi Lamb.  We had SO much fun at this shoot, although the wind was a bit unfortunate at times!  These sweet Jesus-loving ladies were good sports throughout, and I can only hope that they ask me to photograph them again sometime!  Enjoy getting to know Monica, Amy, Jessie, Meagan, and Chantel!

Jr. Girl Scout Day

A good friend of mine, Allyson, asked me to take pictures at this awesome event this weekend!  The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) at OSU hosts a day each year when girl scout troops can come and learn about different types of engineering via fun and interactive activities.  I thought this was particularly neat, because it's all too common of a misconception that men's brains are "better built" for math and science.  This is NOT true at all!  What a fun way to get that message out to young girls!  Anyways, here's a peek at the shots I got!

Well it's the end of the month, and though I realize I just posted my January self portrait a few weeks ago, here's mine for February!  I know I look kind of sad in it because of the angle, but I'm happy I promise! Anyway, happy March everyone!
